Part of my Summer Series, “Maine Summer” is inspired by the vivid palette of the season~ hydrangeas in bloom, sea green and seaweed along the shore, sea roses, watermelon pinks, black raspberries, wild blueberries, lilacs, and soft golden sunshine.
This painting was created after a few cherished weeks in Maine with my family. As a native Mainer, returning to the ocean air and the people I grew up with always feels like a deep reset and a return to myself. Through layers of lush, textured paint and luminous color, this piece captures that feeling of renewal, connection, and summer’s fleeting beauty.
